Dr. Abby Jakob was born and raised in Kingsville, Ontario, and after spending eight years away at school, she was proud to return home to take care of your whole family’s eye care needs.

Dr. Jakob attended Kingsville District High School, where she played basketball, soccer, volleyball, and badminton, as well as alto saxophone in the school’s gold-medal winning jazz band! Dr. Jakob is bilingual in English and French. She received a full-ride scholarship to play basketball at Dalhousie University in Halifax, where she earned a degree with Honours in Kinesiology. She then attended the Illinois College of Optometry where she graduated summa cum laude in May of 2014. Her proudest accomplishment from optometry school was being voted “Colleague of the Year” by her peers.

In her spare time, Dr. Jakob loves to spend time with her new baby girl, Max and her husband, Patrick! She enjoys getting together with family and close friends, going on the boat to Cedar Point, travelling, and playing with her cats and dog!

Dr. Jakob recently welcomed Baby Dal to her family!
